“Life Debt” is a concept that refers to the figurative debt that every person is said to owe from the underworld upon their birth.
This concept can be likened to borrowing money from a bank. Just as a bank allows a successful businessman to utilize the borrowed funds without immediate repayment, the underworld too, allows us to utilize our “life debt”. It’s almost as if saying, “Go ahead and use this for your life endeavors.”
However, similar to a bank recalling its loans when a business is about to fail, the underworld can act likewise. When things are going well, the debt does not cause problems. Yet, when one’s fortune begins to wane, this debt may contribute to further diminishing the luck, thus exacerbating the situation.
As such, the “life debt” is something that needs to be repaid as a priority, especially when one’s fortune takes a turn for the worse. It’s akin to the first spiritual task one must undertake when their luck begins to dim.
